The FA6720 heat alarm is for dusty, humid rooms where traditional smoke alarms can’t be installed. Designed for Class A1 detection, this heat alarm will sound a warning when the ambient temperature in a room is between 54°C – 65°C.
FEWER FALSE ALARMS: Ideal for the kitchen, the FA6720 heat detector isn’t triggered by humidity or dust, ensuring you’re alerted to fires without nuisance false alarms from cooking fumes.SLEEP EASY: If a low battery ‘chirp’ occurs at night, the alarm can be silenced so it won’t disturb your rest. Simply press the Test button, and the alarm will be silenced for 8 hours whilst the red LED continues to flash. Your alarm will still detect heat during Sleep Easy mode. Replace the device ASAP.SUITABLE FOR DOMESTIC PREMISES ONLY: Suitable for domestic properties and leisure accommodation vehicles (LAV). Not suitable for commercial properties.

Quiet Function
Press the large test button to test the device. An alarm will sound at a reduced volume to verify it’s functioning correctly.
In case of a false alarm, press the test button to temporarily silence the alert for 10 minutes.
Safety Guidelines
Suitable for rooms where traditional smoke alarms can’t be installed including kitchens, garages, and lofts.
Heat alarms should be sited at least 300 mm from light fittings and walls, and as centrally located as possible.

What should I do if my heat alarm sounds?
In the event of a heat alarm sounding:
STAY CALM: Don’t panic; take immediate action to ensure your safety and that of others.CHECK FOR SMOKE OR FIRE: Look for visible smoke or flames. If you see either, evacuate immediately.EVACUATE: Leave the premises as quickly as possible using the nearest exit. Do not use lifts. Take the stairs. Ensure everyone is accounted for and exits safely.CLOSE THE DOORS: Close doors behind you as you leave to slow the spread of smoke.CALL 999: Once outside, call the emergency services, providing the operator with your location and any details about the fire.DO NOT RE-ENTER: Do not return to the building until it has been declared safe by the fire service.
